Zain KSA and Starlink announce cybersecurity MoU

Saudi Arabian telecommunications services company Zain KSA has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with StarLink, a value-added distributor (VAD) in cybersecurity, secure cloud and secure networking in the Middle East and Africa, for cybersecurity and cloud computing services.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of Black Hat, an IT and cybersecurity event in Riyadh.

Under the terms of the MoU, the two parties will discuss the possibilities for potential cooperation and further scaling up of cybersecurity services, technologies and solutions, negotiating feasible and efficient business development solutions.

Together, the partners say, they will design and develop a diversified portfolio of services and solutions for government and business customers. In addition, the MoU covers the intelligent automation domain powered by AI to support customers in the region with their digital transformation initiatives.

Founded in 2005, StarLink is the fastest-growing and largest specialised cyber and cloud VAD in Middle East and Africa with $500 million annual revenue, and a projected 20% year-on-year growth.

In the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, comprising Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, StarLink is the leading cybersecurity distributor with more than 20% market share.

In October Infinigate Group, the pan-European VAD of cybersecurity solutions announced its merger with StarLink, a move that will extend Infinigate Group’s reach to more than 50 countries, with offices in more than 30 countries.
