Philippines-based operator Globe Telecom rolled out 5G connectivity to more key cities in Metro Manila, as the operator continues deployment plans.

Globe Telecom stated new cities connected to its 5G network are: Taguig, Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Paranaque, Muntinlupa, Las Pin͂as, Valenzuela, and Caloocan.

The above cities added to the initial rollout to Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Makati CBD, Rockwell Center, Ortigas CBD, and along motorways EDSA and C5.

Coco Domingo, Globe Telecom VP for strategic platforms and partnerships explained those locations were connected due to being “residential areas and centres of daily commerce.”

“The deployment of Globe’s 5G is strategic as we’re targeting those main nerve centres that in the very near future would benefit greatly from the transformative power of better and faster connectivity.”
